Bad Fortune in Poker

For a match where most enthusiasts occasionally consider luck, there are tons of superstitions in poker. When you mention that an individual was blessed in that poker tournament they captured, be mindful of how you say it. For example, if you mention that you were unfortunate, your luck may never change.

Ok, that may appear to be a bit strange, but poker is a game loaded with folklores. Did you know that if you are wagering a game with two different decks and you are asked to select the deck, you should always select the deck that is the furthest away from you? Or, what If you have a streak of terrible cards, you must hang out on a hankerchief to break your poor luck? It’s certainly considered good fortune to blow through a deck of cards while they’re being randomized.

Some other interesting poker superstitions are:

  • You might be able to change the run of cards by passing around your chair 3 times.
  • The most beneficial seat at the poker table looks at the door.
  • The unluckiest chair has its back to a fireplace.
  • When shifting chairs, you need to constantly do so following the clock.
  • The unluckiest poker card is the four of clubs.
  • It’s very unlucky to sit with your legs crossed at the poker table.
  • Sun is a poor day for playing cards.
  • The 13th is also a horrible day, regardless of what day of the week it is.
