Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

April 5th, 2010 at 1:21

Web poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the casino’s first card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning bet, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the showdown. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus an amount on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The dealer pays out cash even with your ante and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
