Internet Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

March 21st, 2019 at 13:25

Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to achieve last poker table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the largest pots in high stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a large pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest enthusiasts in the world. While participating in online poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He often plays in the 200/400 NL max buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen frequently buys-in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all-in. I know Gus is an amazing poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has no reason to settle at the table with the min buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes most of the skill out of big stack poker. Gus is assumed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the full amt.. I think television can skew our perception of the real world at times. The best poker players in the world might just be guys you have won’t have heard about. Gus can be found playing web poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in high stakes Omaha and texas hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
