Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the house, not like nearly all other poker games that players bet with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about any other, more skillful players taking their money.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, beginners can take their time and plan without needing to make hasty decisions.
It is also much simpler to gamble on for a very long time with just a small amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the casino gets seven cards face down.
A five card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
