Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in a wonderful game for early level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the dealer, unlike most other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to fret about any other, more advanced gamblers winning their moolla.

An additional Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game pace, novices should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make quick choices.

It is also much simpler to enjoy for a long time with basically a tiny bit of money since, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the casino is dealt 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
