Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the wild west in a fantastic game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the croupier, not like most other poker games that gamblers bet against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginning players do not need to worry about other, more advanced people taking their $$$$.
Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game play, novices can take their time and plan while not needing to make frenzied decisions.
It is also easier to enjoy for a long time with only a tiny bit of money after all, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the dealer is given seven cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
