Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers attain 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the bet comes the showdown. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a figure on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pony’s up money equal to your wager and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
