Over the years many variants on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different players acquire 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your beginning ante, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with an amount in accordance with the initial bet. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up money even with your wager and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
